“Many people from underrepresented backgrounds feel as though we do not belong in political spaces. Patchwork tries to teach young people that you have just as much right as anyone else, and that source of discomfort can be transformed into a source of unique strength.”
The Life is Wonderful initiative and the Patchwork Foundation were honoured to provide the amazing life-time opportunity for 40 young people to meet with Nelson Mandela’s co-accused, Ahmed Kathrada and Denis Goldberg at 10 Downing Street with The Prime Minister.
Patchworkers were interviewed by our Patron John Pienaar with Denis Goldberg and Maki Mandel on BBC Radio 5 the day before and the evening finished with an amazing gala dinner.
