“I am proud that the Government I lead is the most diverse the UK has ever seen and the Patchwork Foundation is leading the charge in making politics more accessible to all, proving that young people from any background can be at the heart of British politics.”
We are now accepting applications for the upcoming 2023 Masterclass Programme. The submission deadline is 11:59 pm, Tuesday 3rd January 2023.
The Patchwork Foundation’s flagship Masterclass Programme is for 18-30-year-olds with an interest in British politics and civil society. We’re looking for young people from communities that are traditionally underrepresented in political spaces who want to develop their personal and professional skillsets.
You will be part of a cohort of young people learning from the speakers and also from each other, cultivating mutual understanding and discovering new perspectives. With over 500 graduates of the programme, many have gone on to work directly with politics, charities, NGOs and across the private sector. You can see some of our alumni spotlights and read about our previous Masterclass sessions here.
Masterclass sessions cover topics such as political campaigning, broadcast media and politics, civil service careers, leadership, and policy amongst others. Masterclasses have been led by former Prime Ministers, Secretaries of State, Journalists and Political Strategists, with the sessions held at UK institutions like 10 Downing Street and Parliament.

If you have any questions, email [email protected] and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
