The Norton Rose Fulbright bursary
Norton Rose Fulbright LLP launched the Scholars bursary programme in 2021 and is aimed at reaching students who aspire to achieve a career in law. The programme, which runs every two years. It aims to reach those who are facing socio- economic barriers to access the resources and connections to succeed. Scholars, the Norton Rose Fulbright bursary awards a £5,000 bursary to ten first or second year students, who have shown a strong interest in pursuing a career in law and meet the eligibility criteria.
To be eligible, you will need to have an unconditional offer, have been officially accepted by your chosen university or have already commenced study at university for your stated degree. You will need to be completing your first undergraduate degree which can be in any subject but must be a minimum 3-year course at an accredited university in the United Kingdom. You will have achieved AAB at A Level or equivalent (see guidance document for further information on grades).
The Scholars bursary offers:
- £5,000 over the course of your degree
- A place on the assessment centre for a Norton Rose Fulbright vacation scheme
- A mentoring programme with our lawyers
- Additional support in vacation scheme and training contract applications
- Insight days and other skills based workshops
- Invitations to select Norton Rose Fulbright events
- A graduation event as well as other networking opportunities with Norton Rose Fulbright LLP employees and clients
Application process for the Scholars bursary
The applications for the Scholars 2023 programme will open on August 17 2023.
All applications will be reviewed by a panel of representatives from Norton Rose Fulbright LLP.
Successful applicants will be invited to complete online psychometric tests w/c October 30 2023 and those who meet the minimum benchmark for these assessments will be invited to a telephone interview week commencing November 13, 2023.
The successful ten recipients will be announced in December 2023.
